Winter

Haven't updated on here for ages, thought may be I should start posting again.

I'm well, still staying in the UK.

Let me share some pictures I've taken last weekend near my home.

It's so cold that most of the water surface has turned into ice.

Some of the ducks are standing on the ice and some are skating on ice. Quite funny to see some ducks fell into the water from ice.

I just found this quite cool.

It's been said that the start of this winter is the coldest in the past 30 years. Hmm... I wonder if I could capture nice pictures of snow this winter. Looking forward to it.

Water

While I was washing some lettuce tonight, there were some thoughts came up in my mind.

Why do we need to wash food before we cook?

We wash because we want to make sure the food is clean for our consumption.

How do we know if the food is clean?

Can you be sure food is clean after washed by water?

Did we learn this from our mother? From our teachers?

No matter where you’ve learnt this from, you always trust that the food you washed with water is clean for our consumption.

While I was washing the lettuce tonight, I could see the dirt being washed away by water and this gave me some thoughts.

The dirt on the lettuce can be washed away by water and is as clean as new, so I wonder, is this the same theory as to the sin we have in us, that can be washed away by a different kind of water?

The water that we need is the water blessed in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.

‘The waters of the great flood You made a sign of the waters of baptism, that make an end of sin and a new beginning of goodness.’

It’s just like the lettuce washed by water that I consider being clean, I believe my sin can be washed away with the waters breathed by the Holy Spirit, making them the wellspring of all holiness.

Thanks Heavenly Father, for blessing me.

Life after graduation

I've recevied an email from xanga yesterday saying they missed me. I haven't been on xanga for 7 months already, how time flies. I was meaning to update for a long time but I never got round to it, I was simply too busy.

I'm currently doing the Legal Practice Course, this course is very demanding where I hardly have free time. Just had exams a month ago and now finally is Easter holiday that I can relax for a bit since my electives started only 2 weeks ago with no more assessments to hand in. And this is why I could have time to myself now and update xanga. I can not imagine in another 3 months time, my student life will be over.

Let me update with some recent pictures, not exactly very recent but definitely more recent than 7 months ago. Here are some pictures taken at the Christmas Ball with my coursemates.

This is the little church where the College of Law held the christmas carol and I was the soloist with choir and organ at the background with the song - "Holy night". The feeling was magnificent to sing in such a church.

Have been doing a lot of thinking recently regarding to my future... really need to plan and act...

PS. xanga has changed a bit since last time I've been on... found it quite hard to use... everything is a bit different...

Graduation!

12.07.2007 - My Graduation day

Finally, the big day my parents have longed for and the reason for coming to the UK this summer - my Graduation!

Couldn't believe I have graduated already!

Before the graduation I would think why bothered with graduation ceremony? I've done all the exams and knew my results, basically I have already finished my degree, so why bothered with a ceremony? I didn't feel any needs for the graduation and thought it wouldn't mean anything. But I have changed my mind after experiencing my graduation day.

I thoroughly enjoyed my big day. I felt special and important. My lovely parents were here to witness it, they were really happy and were very proud of me. Friends were here too, was very touched. Another thing which made me so proud of myself was the fact that the colour of my gown is bright green rather than dark green to distinguish my degree being a LLB rather than the normal BA degree. I hope I am not offending the BA students, but I finally felt a little different. I did a law degree, supposed to be harder than any BA course. I was so proud of myself that I managed to graduate with a law degree. It was tough for me but I was glad I made it at the end. Furthermore, my degree wasn't just a normal Law degree, I did accounting alongside Law, which should make me more desirable in theory (I did study more years any others), however, I wasn't good at the subjects I took so I didn't do well on them as I would have hoped... I hope that I can find a training contract... I really do hope that......

So yeah, I was very happy on my graduation day, actually, my graduation week! as I hired the gown for a whole week. The weather wasn't great in July with lots of rain (and floods but luckily not in my area!). That's why I couldn't take as many pictures as I would hope for. Nevertheless, I was very blessed on my graduation day that it wasn't raining (only a few drops of shower at the end of ceremony). And I managed to take lots of pictures at the end of the week anyway (with sunshine!!!), so I was pleased. Hiring the gown for a week was a wise move.

So after being so busy with my graduation, I am now working on my job hunting, trying to find a training contract...... it is very tough I have to say...... I really hope that I can find something... I really hope that......please pray for me!

I took SO many pictures during my graduation week that I simply couldn't upload everything on here. Therefore, I selected only a few to share my excitment and happiness on here. Enjoy!!!

Professional photography. I wasn't happy with my hair of the day, was too rush to get to university. And was unhappy about the photographer who didn't care about my hair and I couldn't look into the mirror before taking this picture. Anyway, I did look good in there despite of the bad hair.

I'm back!

It's been a long time since I last wrote on here! I was simply too busy.

Months of working on my uni work and studying for exams really tired me out. I've tried my very best and did the exams. Just got my results back last week and they were as what I expected. I should be pleased with it. I have improved a lot since last year, although I always think that I could have done even better. Well, I guess everything has room for improvement. But I've done the best that I could with the time given so I am relieved. It's all over now. My life as an undergraduate is over. I can finally graduate! My parents must have waited for this day for so long! hehe...

Anyway, I'm going to update more about myself later on. But for now, I'm a free girl! Finally, I can have a bit of rest. Well, not so much right at the moment because my parents and aunty are here in the UK so I will have to drive them around the country and visit many places! It's going to be a busy week for me but anyway, I am sure I will enjoy every moment of it, especially with my new camera. A wide angle camera! How excited is that? I will have to post up some pictures later on~

Ah, it sure feels good with no pressure anymore, well, at least for now.

Think I should post up at least one picture up, hehe... Here is a picture of me on my birthday last month during exams period. Thanks guys for coming out for my birthday! I really thought I would be spending my birthday at home alone with my books but thanks guys for spending the evening with me in a Japanese restaurant! hehe... and thanks so much Jacqueline for the cake! So happy that you are thinking of me even in very very far away. My birthday turned out to be a much loved one than I original thought. I'm so happy to have you guys in my life!!! Thanks so much!!!
